Here's a picture of me from Easter day up at the river, just for this blog and my FB page. It is new but it is also really drab--I'll go for something a bit cheerier when Michigan greens up and I haul out the brighter clothes.
I took the day off from work to catch up on some things, but then I was actually sick most of the day and accomplished very little. I did finish downloading and installing anti-spyware software on the new PC, and adding the printer, and a few other things--but for awhile there, balancing the checkbook seemed like hard labor.
I am eager to start revising a novella for the romance market. I would have had to cut a lot of it to sell it to Analog, but I can leave it at it's current length of a bit over 20k, and add some romance (which I left out) and cut out some SF specific material (which will break my heart), and have a pretty good SF romance, one that actually is genuine SF as opposed to romance with SF elements.
My Haley was still sick today--three days in a row following Spring Break--she hasn't seen her school in half a month, now. I hope she can go tomorrow. She didn't feel well enough to go this morning, but she would have been able to handle it in the afternoon. For that matter, I could have handled work this afternoon--I just wouldn't have wanted to.
Back to the normal routine tomorrow!
