Last Night and This Morning

Last night I was out of it--not really tired, not really sad, not really anything--I guess the term these days is "meh." Ultimately, I listened to my iPod for a few hours, checked FB for a couple minutes, and went to bed.

This morning I took my new ADHD medicine Concerta. I can certainly feel it--right now it's like I just consumed a pot of coffee in one minute, but without the need for a bathroom. I hope I'm focusing--feels like it, but I won't know for awhile yet, not when I can feel the effects this pronouncedly.

A few old friends from the past got in touch with me, or I with them, during the past couple weeks--I should try to catch up with them a bit better. When you don't stay in touch you completely lose track of how many kids your friends even have, let alone their names and how old they are now. "Oh, little so-and-so is in college now?" Won't be long and it will be, "So, he's in the senate? Oh, not state senate? THE senate. Got it."

This weekend I hope to get some long neglected yard work finished, and other work started. Since Dorothy only takes medication now when she actually has a BP spike, most of the time she feels pretty good and she's been planting flowers and things. I suppose we'll get finished just in time for Fall.

UPDATE: It's almost noon and most of the "wired", too much coffee feeling is gone. I feel quite alert, and have plenty of energy, even though this morning really sucked work-wise--huge load of stuff all at once, but the afternoon looks like it will slow down considerably.
