Home Alone!

Even before I woke up this morning my wife informed me that she was going to go up to her folks' place on the river with the kids (which we call "the river" as in "I'm going up to the river this weekend.") I had the option to go, but I have much to do around the house, and some of it is outside, and it could easily rain tomorrow. So I'm just puttering around, messing on FB a bit, and organizing my chore schedule.

Since I still have quite a few Vyvanse tablets, and they are very expensive, I decided to take them on the weekends. So far, so good. They are gentler than the Concerta, but otherwise about the same when both are working well.

I need to cut the grass, and make a short platform for my wife to put under her foot pedal that she uses when she types transcription. I already did the dishes, and the laundry, ans I'm finished attaching the fins to the rocket my daughter made in school. I'd like to get some writing done this weekend--I've been bad at getting too it lately; some of the cause is adjusting to the Concerta, especially the crashes.

The past two days at work were too busy to update this blog--I usually do that a sentence at a time or so when I'm working.

I think that's about it. I may update later with an account of my progress.

UPDATE. I finished most of what I wanted to do. The fam didn't get home until after 9 p.m. and by then I was watching the ballgame. I made Dorothy that platform, but of course it was all wrong. Fortunately, it will be easy enough to change it so it suits (which I expected I would have to do regardless of how I made it--I even got yelled at for answering the phone while they were gone). Grass got cut, plants got watered, etc. etc. I won't do any writing tonight, but I have all day tomorrow to do that now.
