At least the Concerta hasn't affected my sleep--I slept like a baby last night, and woke up very late this morning. But then, I was up late watching "The Office". The new med does still make me rather jittery within a few hours of taking it--maybe if I have less coffee that will help, and maybe I'll get used to it soon and it won't be an issue anymore.
I still plan on doing some work in the yard today--it rained yesterday so that was out. Turned out a few of the kids wanted to see "The Office" too, so I watched more of that than I would have have, but still not as much as I want to. The problem I have with some shows is that, once I see how good they are, then I can't stay away from them until I know all about them, and I can't miss an episode, etc. So now I'll be addicted to the show until I'm all caught up with it.
When I sat down early this afternoon to watch the ballgame and read the paper, my glider chair down here in my office broke, again. So I got out my tools and this time decided to fix it with some bolts rather than Sheetrock screws, which sheared off. As is typical, my portable drill plus suitable bit was too long to fit into the space I needed it to fit into to drill the holes. So I had to search for a shorter bit. I found one and then discovered that the portable had to be recharged after I got my hole drilled halfway. So I hauled out the trusty heavy duty drill, and was able to finish the hole, but only because it was already halfway drilled--otherwise it was way too long even with the shorter bit to fit. Without my new meds, I would have felt really frustrated by this. Instead, I just put in one bolt, and am charging the other drill, and was able to use the chair without difficulty in the meantime. After I'm finished outdoors, I'll finish fixing the chair, and maybe clean up my office a bit since it is a terrible mess right now.
Dorothy promised that we will have a garage sale in a few weeks, and that anything not sold will be thrown out or given to charity. The family has wanted a rec room in the basement since we moved in, but this has not happened entirely because the rest of the family has always had too much stuff they just couldn't part with. Maybe, just maybe, this time will be different.
Well, this is getting kind of long and boring, so I guess I'll stop. These past couple of days I haven't chatted with anyone for more than a sentence or two--their lives have kept them away from the computer, and work was so busy last week I barely had time to exchange any chat anyway.
But we'll see what this coming week brings.
