The Unexpected Happens

I was going to post an update today about something political, but then I got an e-mail from a friend to pray for her father who had a stroke last night (a mini-one, so I hope there isn't any significant damage), so I no longer feel like it. And right after that FedEx showed up with 50 packages instead of the usual 30 or so, which means my morning is going to be cramped.

I might post later, but hey, you have to roll with the changes. Still, say a prayer for my friend's dad.

UPDATE: Despite the big load from the first FedEx delivery today, the rest of the day didn't turn out too be as hectic as usual. I was to send a long overdue reply to an e-mail from a friend, and reply to a couple other things while attending to a few back burner issues here on the dock as well. I haven't heard anything else from my friend about her father, but she's probably at the hospital, or if that is too far away, pacing and waiting for a phone call.

At the moment I'm annoyed by a couple of things external to work, but once the big truck shows up, I won't even think about them anymore.

The politics talk can wait, however, if you wonder what was on my mind, it involves Barney Frank's town hall meeting the other day. The congressman from Massachusetts really, really needs someone to point out to him that those people in the town hall are the bosses and he is the employee. And even though Obama ran on change, the only thing we've seen since inauguration day is the same old bullshit the kooky end of the left has wanted for decades.

No thank you!
